What are the benefits of pro tools le over m powered?

From what I can tell, the differences are minor...especially if you're going to be tracking guitar and vocals at home. Looks like the differences are with hardware that you can use and a few software add-ons. Those package deals seem to be good for beginners.

From what I've seen, I think LE may have more stuff available for it, IE plug-ins. Personally, the M-Audio stuff looks cheaper to me. That doesn't mean it is, just the graphics and stuff looks cheaper. I use LE as that's what my school uses, so my thinking is, if the M-Audio stuff was good for a school setting they would have bought it. I agree with Chris though (who knows a heck of a lot more than I do) that the M powered stuff should be awesome for a beginner, but if you want to do more later you may want to check into the LE, which may be closer to HD. I'd also check on the DUC @ duc.digidesign.com/ as they can tell more ifno. Dan'o :}
