I love the clean simple look. I still want a custom guitar someday. My problem is, I'm good at saving about $200 to $300, then I end up buying some odd piece of gear. Just bought a new snare drum for myself! If I could ever save up $1000, I'd probably end up getting an old USA King V (just because they most resemble what I'm looking for). That RAN is a fine looking guitar.

I love the quilt. Was this an Ebay purchase? I'm constantly telling my students not to buy guitars without playing them first...then I pretty much buy everything on Ebay cause it looks cool. How does she play?

it's funny, i always say the same thing, "play it at least three hours before you put money down on it," but most of my guitars i've bought online. though, i've never done the Ebay thing, i used to get guitars/gear from Jemsite.com, and for the past three years, Sevenstring.org. so, fairly more trustworthy sources than Ebay, since i only buy from people i know on there who have traded with other guys on the forum. this one, a guy on sevenstring.org was switching from guitar to bass, and decided to clear out his gear, at cost! for $300, i couldn't say no. i bought it primarily because of the LP shape, and that it's a 7. ever since i gave my brother my old LP copy, i've been wanting to get another LP styled guitar. then, when i started playing sevens, it was harder to find one, as you can imagine . all it took was a glance at my checkbook, and knew it was mine! it plays / feels just like that old LP copy. the neck is a bit bigger than my Ibanezes, and it has a gloss finish instead of a satin one, but you know, i'm not that fast of a player anyways
