Hi Chris,
I was wondering if you can send me a list of shortcuts I could use for the Reason software that we use in our MIDI class. I also sent you an e-mail with a pic of a drum set someone is selling & wanted your professional opinion about them. Thanks! Debbie

Hi Debbie, Here's the link to the Reason demo if you want to practice at home: www.propellerheads.se/Click on "downloads" at the top. I'm going to keep posting shortcuts as I find them. Here are a few of the basics: Spacebar will start/stop and "enter" or "return" will send you to the beginning of the song (this is true for most audio software). On MAC hold down shift to individually select notes in the edit view of the sequencer. On PC hold down "ctrl". To group together a bunch of notes, select them and hit "Apple+G". To ungroup hit "Apple+U". Crtl+G and Ctrl+U on a PC I expect. As always, cut, copy, and paste are Apple+X, Apple+C, and Apple+V respectively. Replace the Apples with Ctrl on a PC. Hold down Option to drag a copy of selected notes. I think it's CTRL on a PC. (Might be ALT). Don't forget that Apple(or Ctrl)+Z will undo. You can undo you previous 12? actions. Apple(or Ctrl)+Y will redo. Right click or Ctrl+Click in the machine window to bring up the Create menu. A lot of the above shortcuts work on a variety of audio programs. I'll see if I can find some more that are specific to Reason. Anybody else have some input on this? Thanks, -C
